Rotten Carrot doesn't look like a perch or a roach, even with good will, but on the other hand, it's not quite an obscenely gaudy stimulus colour either. Maybe that's why it works so well for pike, so often. In our own boxes, it at least represents one of the number one pike fly. Tied on a 6/0 Partridge Universal Predator X hook.
